5. Little Light Bread and Soup Company

Previously an Italian restaurant downtown, the Little Light Bread and Soup Company has switched to American cuisine and a pay-what-you-can business model. Among the few restaurants in the state offering pay-what-you-can, the restaurant also donates meals to public safety workers like police officers and firefighters. The Little Light Bread and Soup Company is a small business making a huge impact. Let us know if you visit!

6. 1,100 single-family houses and townhomes are coming to eastern Greensboro

Hoping to alleviate the housing shortage in Greensboro, the city recently annexed 300 acres for developers to build 1,100 brand-new homes. Greensboro has already grown by 30,000 residents and with new companies moving here, the city will likely keep growing.
